Beginner oil painting class is for those students who have already completed at least one drawing/charcoal series at the studio. Artists will observe a demo done by Miss Casey and learn the basic fundamentals of safe oil painting. All work will be done in the well ventilated studio using quality art materials. Students will learn about color mixing, solvents and mediums etc. Each will have the opportunity to work in oil on a canvas, and then return the next day to continue work while the oil is still wet to learn the technique and science behind the choice material of the old masters. For this class materials will be provided. Students wishing to continue with classes will be guided on what paints/supplies to purchase for their own.
